Eliminate Distractions

I woke up Wednesday morning with this feeling that there were some distractions on my radar screen.

As I prayed the Lord spoke to me:

“Eliminate distractions
or
distractions will eliminate you!”

So it’s time for us to clean things off of our plate.
Learn to say no.
Make certain that what you’re endeavoring to start you are equipped to do
and that you have a full tank of desire and motivation for it.

For me if I know the Lord has spoken to my heart then I can continue against some pretty severe odds. But if I don’t have that assurance I can have a fairly short attention span.

What I did after the Lord spoke the above word to me was, make a list of activities that are possibly distractions, make another list of those items that are definitely not.
Just focus on the second list. Apply strong pressure to it. You’ll be pleased at the results.
Be blessed
Joe

Study

Friends,
Check out this very cool quote from my journal:

Son, the riches I have in store for you must be mined.
They are not sitting in an open field but they are concealed.
Study is the manner in which you will draw them forth.
I love you Son. I’m here to teach you. I have much to show you.

Your Heart Is Like Soil

Quote from Andrew Wommack:

“Your heart is like soil.

It doesn’t know whether what is being sown in it is good or bad.

It just grows what’s sown in it.”

My Friend,

What are you sowing into your heart?

What are you reaping from your heart now that you sowed into it before?

Are you happy with what you’re reaping?

Sow into your heart what you want to come out.

You’ll be satisfied if you do right.

Love ya

Joe

He Made The Way, We Didn’t

Yesterday I was very busy and struggling to prepare for the Wednesday night service. I felt a little guilty/condemned and I called out to the Lord to help me. Last night’s service went better than expected. Way better.

Here’s my journal entry from this morning:

Good morning Lord,
Thank you for blessing me even when I’m less than perfect.

Son, walking free from condemnation is something you must master. Rely on the blood for your acceptance not on your works.

I have made the way for you to approach me without guilt and shame, you have not. Your good works do not make you guilt-free. My cleansing, my washing, my sacrifice makes you right. Rely on the path I’ve made not your own.

So come before me confidently. Confident in the work I’ve done for you. Our fellowship is sweet when you are not confident through your works but mine.

So rest Son, and receive the things you need from me. rest your heart in my presence. This is the waiting that will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31) and cause you to mount up with wings as eagles.

Wait, confidently, peacefully before me and let me speak wisdom for each situation. Let me speak answers for each situation. Let me reinvigorate you with strength.

I am yours, Son.

I love you.

Your Father

A Reminder To Get Back In There

Here’s a word the Lord spoke to me awhile ago, but He reminded me of it this morning:

Son, you’ve been fearing me.

Stop it!

Draw near to me with your heart.

I will speak to you and bring you comfort,
but you must come to this secret place
and hear me speak to you.

Trust me to speak to you.

I love you.

I have blessings for you,
not harm.
