Prepping Sunday Sermons

Well this was a very busy week.

We had Nancy’s folks in, it was great to see them.

We also had a friend of the family David Jay, a wedding photographer who has been helping Sarah with her business. It was great seeing everybody but it didn’t give me the time I normally like to prepare my Sunday morning message.

So, I was up late last night working on it and it just wasn’t working. I finally decided to just trust God and go to bed. When I woke up this morning He started talking to me and giving me peace about what to say.

Before I left for church I told Nancy, I hadn’t had enough time to prepare, she said, God’s going to speak and it’ll be the best you’ve ever done.

I think it came out great. One older fellow in the back came up to me and said “That’s the best I’ve heard.”

Well check it out and let me know. I hope it helps you.

God bless you all.

Let me know if you need something from God. I have access (so do you!)

  1. I am always very blessed by your sermons, Pastor, but Nancy might have been right when she said, “it’ll be the best you’ve ever done.” I can’t say for sure b/c I first heard you preach only 4 months ago (:o))And you are absolutely correct when you said “it came out great!” I bought 6 copies of the CD to send to friends all over the country. I’m looking forward to more ….. Glory to God! Sincerely, amaezed1

  2. As always – I was blessed by your incredible family! Thank you for being such an amazing example of living by faith and for being a true “lovecat” and sharing that with the rest of us!I can’t wait to listen to that message! I’ve gotta figure out how to do it on my mac though. πŸ™‚

  3. and the message has such a great title!hahasomething i found interesting reading your post, you said: “I finally decided to just trust God and go to bed”got me thinking about how often we take the controls away from God saying ‘I have to get this done’then we come to the end of a dead end road and we’re going 120mph, at which point we’re like ‘uh, God, take over please’i wonder how often He’s just like “finally”trusting God from the start, it’s something i’m trying to work on.lolanywaysit was allot of fun getting to hang out with DJ and your family this weekend.i’m blessed to have your family in my life.
